North Paw Dog Training - Terms of Service.

By booking a session with North Paw Dog Training, you agree to the following:

  1. Service Overview:
    North Paw provides 1-on-1 leash training walks tailored to your dog’s needs. Sessions typically last 60 minutes and focus on leash behavior, pulling resistance, and basic behavior correction.

  2. Booking & Cancellations:
    – Sessions must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
    – Cancellations require 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations may result in a fee of 50% of the session price.

  3. Payment Terms:
    – All sessions must be paid in full prior to day of service.
    – Accepted methods: e-transfer

  4. Dog Eligibility:
    – Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and not pose a known danger to the trainer or others. Not every dog-trainer relationship will be the right fit. During the initial meet and greet, we assess whether the dog’s needs and temperament align with North Paw’s training approach. If it’s not the best match, we’ll communicate that openly and may suggest alternative options in the dog’s best interest.

  5. Results Disclaimer:
    – North Paw does not guarantee specific results. Progress depends on consistency, the dog’s temperament, and reinforcement at home.

  6. Session Scope:
    – Sessions are conducted outdoors or in agreed-upon real-world environments. No off-leash training is offered. Meet & Greets are conducted at the client’s home to provide safety and comfort for the dogs mental and physical well being.

  7. Trainer Qualifications Disclaimer: North Paw Dog Training is founded on hands-on experience, observation-based behavior handling, and real-world results. Please note that at this time, Victoria Desbiens is not a certified dog trainer and does not hold formal certifications in the pet industry. Training services are based on personal experience, practical techniques, and a commitment to calm, structured leash work. Clients are encouraged to ask questions and determine whether this approach aligns with their dog’s needs and their own expectations.

North Paw Cancellation, Refund & Policy

Cancellations:
– Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel.
– Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged 50% of the session cost.

Refunds:
– Packages are non-refundable once sessions begin.
– If North Paw must cancel a session, you will be offered a reschedule or refund.

Safety & Conduct:
– North Paw reserves the right to refuse service if a dog exhibits behavior that is unsafe, unpredictable, or unmanageable in a public setting.

Privacy & Communication Policy:

We respect your privacy. Client information is never shared or sold. All communication regarding scheduling, behavior, or progress will be kept confidential. Photos or videos of your dog may be taken for progress tracking or promotional purposes — you may opt out by request.
